Each year, KIU welcomes talented students, at both undergraduate and graduate level, from all over East Africa and beyond. Programmes of study offered at Western Campus are designed to make students think logically, laterally and independently. Our aim is to remain at the forefront of centres of learning, teaching and research.
Our facilities in the Teaching Hospital help to train the next generation of medical professionals. Since its inception, KIU has trained over 1,200 medical professionals in various fields. We believe in the importance of treating our patients and students with respect and kindness. The Teaching Hospital is helping to bring health and hope to those in need.
Kampala International University Dar es Salaam College is a Constituent College of KIU. The College began as a Study Center of KIU at a temporary site (In Quality plaza- Pugu road Dar es Salaam) and later developed into a college. It is now permanently situated on an impressive 100 acre piece of land at the popular Gongo la Mboto town of Dar es Salaam (500m off Julius Nyerere Road).
There are various academic programmes in the college that are well packaged to suit the times, challenges and potentials of her prospective students. These programs lead to the award of Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees in the fields of Management, Education, Social Sciences, Pure Sciences and Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences and Law.

Kampala International University (main campus) is located along Ggaba road in Kansanga, a rapidly growing suburb of Kampala, 3 km from the city centre and 2 km from the shores of Lake Victoria, the second largest fresh water lake in the world. The location of the university, near Uganda's commercial capital, provides students with opportunities for social and cultural enrichment. Kampala International University (western campus) is located in Ishaka, Bushenyi district. The beauty of the country side environment of the western campus provides an ambience for comfort and concentration.
Kampala International University (KIU), commenced operation as a private University in October 2001. The university offers both undergraduate and post-graduate programs on full-time as well as part-time basis.
All KIU academic programs are conducted on a semester basis except the Access Program, Health Sciences, In-service Education courses, and the MBA (Executive), which follow separate schedules.
