Course Description

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The course introduces the student to solid state semiconductor, transistors, amplifiers and radio television.

Numbers, Symbols, Binary Arithmetic, Boolean Algebra, Karnaugh Mapping, Digital Signals And Logic Gates, Principles Of  Digital Computing, Counters, Switches, Ladder Logic, Combinational Logic Functions, Multivibrators, Shift Registers, Digital-Analog Conversion, Digital Communication, Digital Storage (Memory).

EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end  of this course, the students should be able to:

·         Explain the functions of the basic electronic components

·         Explain fundamentals of integrated circuits  both analog and digital

·         Describe concepts of digital electronics  

·         Discuss  various electronic circuits

·         Design the simulation techniques and de­sign of electronic circuits

·         Describe  various applications of elec­tronics in process industry
