course begins with a review of circuit theory and then develops the principles
and applications of analog and digital electronic devices and circuits.
EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES
the end of the course, the students should be able to:
the concept of an instrumentation system: to support accurate measurements
program, calibrate and use a microprocessor-based instrumentation system
and design an instrumentation system, dealing with the concepts of
dynamic range, signal noise ratio, and error budget
Discuss Control noise, either intrinsic or
an operational amplifier spec sheet and use the specifications to
construct an error budget for a high-gain amplifier
the operation of various instrumentation transducers
Describe and apply A/D conversion techniques
such as successive-approximation, dual slope conversion, voltage frequency conversion.
