COVID-19 Updates: 114 New Cases Bring Uganda’s Cases to 5,380

The Ministry of Health has announced 114 new cases of COVID-19 from the 2,685 samples tested on September 16, bringing Uganda’s total to 5,380.

In its daily COVID-19 update, the ministry announced that all 114 cases are contacts and alerts, with 50 coming from Kampala, 16 from Bududa, 9 from Pader, 7 from Wakiso, 5 from Mbale, 5 from Sironko, 4 from Luweero, 3 from Adjumani, 3 from Buikwe, 3 from Gulu, 2 from Hoima, 2 from Jinja and one case each from Kikuube, Koboko, Mitooma, Namisindwa and Ngora districts.

The number of recoveries now stands at 2,489 meaning there are 2,831 active cases of COVID-19 in Uganda as of today, September 17.
