Zambian MP and HIV/AIDS activist Princess Kasune Zulu, who is also living with HIV has announced that she has tested for COVID-19, according to the BBC.
Zulu is a member of the opposition United Party for National Development and she was tested on Thursday last week, and parliamentary sittings in the Southern African country have been indefinitely suspended since Zulu made the announcement.
According to the BBC report, Zulu says that Zambia's parliament had initially continued holding sittings despite the rise in Coronavirus numbers, and she believes this is the cause for her contracting the virus.
So far, 15 Zambian Members of Parliament have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
