KIU, Main Campus -KIU Titans needed just a professional performance to beat JKL Dolphins 59-44 in the final game of the first round played at the KIU basketball court on Saturday evening.

Despite being below their usual best, the Titans lead the Dolphins all through the game which was also the team's lowest score since the opening day defeat to defending champions, City Oilers.

The Titans benefited from the return of Amisi Saidi Danny Carmelo and Collins Kasujja with the former going on to claim the Player of the Game award. Kasujja scored all his nine points from three-pointers while Saidi registered a double-double of 15 points and 13 rebounds. The duo missed the UCU clash due to injury.

Peter Obleng also reclaimed his place among the big boys with an incredible 13 points and 10 rebounds double-double while team captain Joseph Chuma joined the choir with 13 rebounds.

Saturday's victory put the KIU Titans' record to 9-2 and remain second on the NBL ladder behind City Oilers.
