The KIU Titans will look to put the ghosts of last Sunday’s 58-66 loss to the JKL Dolphins in the National Basketball League behind them as they entertain the UCU Canons on Sunday at the KIU court in Kansanga.

Despite sweeping away Power in the opening game of the season, the Titans faltered against the less fancied Dolphins after a lackluster display, despite leading 35-26 at halftime.

The 2017 finalists struggled on the offense in the Dolphins’ loss but will look to new signing Faisal Aden, who scored 11 points in that game, to marshal the team to victory.

Titans coach Brian Wathum will expect newly-signed Kenyan International Ariel Okall to put in a better performance, after scoring only 5 points in the Dolphins' loss though he played without participating in any prior training session with his teammates.

The Titans are currently placed eighth on the log with 3 points from 2 games, but they have a game in hand after their tussle with the Ndejje Angels was postponed. A win will see them draw level on points with third-placed UCU Canons.

Meanwhile, the KIU Rangers take on KCCA Leopards on Sunday at UCU Courts in a bid to extend their 100% winning start to the season. They defeated the magic Stormers 56-52 in their last outing.

The league leaders have already been touted as this year’s title favourites because of their sweeping displays and cohesive play but former league champions KCCA will pose a tough challenge.
