KIU, Main Campus - On Monday 4th July 2022, KIU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mouhamad Mpezamihigo attended the ongoing 13th Annual Meeting and Conference of the Inter-University Council for East Africa (IUCEA) taking place in Bujumbura, Burundi Republic of Burundi.
Prof. Mpezamihigo who is a member of the Executive Committee joined other East African Community (EAC) partner states representatives from universities, the East African Business Council, councils for higher education, heads of national commissions, councils for science and technology, and other stakeholders.
The conference themed “Strengthening Academia-Industry Partnership for Commercialization of Research and Innovation in the EAC: Prospects for Regional Integration" promises to "bring together higher education stakeholders to take stock of the development in higher education and research in the region, to enable IUCEA to appropriately advise the EAC Partner States on any aspects or matters related to higher education dynamics in the region and globally."
The Conference will be held from 4th and 7th July 2022. The Conference will be held on 5th and the Annual Meeting on 6th July, each starting at 9:00 am
The Conference is open to interested individuals to attend virtually, IUCEA Members are welcome to attend both the Conference and the Annual Meeting virtually or physically, as they may wish
