KIU, Western Campus - The Leos Club of KIU Western Campus is gearing up to host the Lions District Governor 411B Uganda, Lion Dr. Stanley K. Bubikire, on February 9.

Leos Club President Leo Amon Nkwasiibwe highlighted the significance of this visit, emphasizing the importance of showcasing the Club's identity and visibility.

"On that day, we plan to unveil the Leos Club signpost, symbolizing our commitment to impact society through humanitarian service," said Nkwasiibwe.

In addition to identity establishment, the club will engage in environmentally conscious activities through a visit to the KIU Pharmacy Students Association (KIUPSA) botanical garden where Lion Dr. Bubikire and his team will plant medicinal trees.

The visit is part of the governor's annual obligation to tour Lions Clubs across the country. The Leos Club of KIU Western Campus, affiliated with the Lions Club of Bushenyi, falls under the purview of Dr. Stanley Bubikire, who assumed the role of Governor for Lions District 411B Uganda in a ceremony held in Boston on July 12, 2023.

The distinguished background of Dr. Bubikire includes prior service as a Commissioner in the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Bubikire, now at the helm of over 50 Lions Clubs with a collective membership exceeding 1,000, brings a wealth of experience to further strengthen the bonds within the Lions community
