KIU, Western Campus – The inaugural Mr. and Miss Allied Contest for students from the School of Allied Health Sciences will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at 7pm, at Safaris Motel in Ishaka Town.

The contest, which which set to become an annual event, is open to all students from the School of Allied Health Sciences.

According to Nassif Hussein Ssenkungu, who is part of the organizing committee and also a third-year student of Clinical Medicine and Community Health, it is meant to unite all students from the school.

“We are organizing this event to bring together students from the School of Allied Health Sciences, who had no unifying factor before,” Ssenkungu said.

“People should attend because once in a while, one should be relieved from academic stress and we also have different forms of entertainment that we don’t want people to miss,” he added.

The Contest is being held under the theme, “Changing the Narrative”, and will have a modelling session, live band, cultural dance, red carpet and local performers.

Entrance is free for all and students from the School of Allied Health Sciences will also receive free refreshments to spice up the event.
