The Inter-Faculty Debate, which is organised by Timeless Mission, a student-based organisation within KIU-WC, has finally kicked off. It will run from 13th to 15th February 2020, and all schools are to participate.

Patrick Asaba, the President of Timeless Mission and the Debate Union at KIU-WC, says the debate will aid in promoting critical, analytical and diverse thinking through debating and public speaking.

“We believe that Universities have got young and energetic youth with a lot of potentials which are not being utilised to the maximum and yet if this is done, the future of Africa can be bright”, Asaba said.

And indeed, the topic of the debate is “The future of Africa”. It begins with debate amongst Administration, Guild Union and Timeless Mission, which acts as the curtain-raiser for the inter-faculty discussion, which will take place on Friday and Saturday.

Winners will have an opportunity to participate in the East African Universities Debate Competition and also receive a trophy and certificates.
