KIU, Main Campus- President Yoweri  Museveni has assured all Ugandans that God's blessings upon their lives are boundless, in his Martyrs Day message to the country on June 1.

Addressing Ugandans, the President urged everyone to continue worshipping from their homes since mass congregation at Namugongo shrine is a risk that could aid in the wild spread of COVID-19.

"The religious practice of gathering in Namugongo for special prayers will not take place this year because of the deadly Corona virus disease which has spread to the entire globe," he announced.

He, however, encouraged Ugandans that God would listen to and bless them since he is always present in their lives.

“Fortunately, one of the attributes of God is that He is omnipresent. This means that His presence is everywhere. Therefore, He is able to listen to us and bless us from anywhere,” he said.

The President quoted the Book of Psalms, Chapter 139, Verses 7-8.

“Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there," he said.

He also called upon Ugandans to continue praying for the nation so that he could protect us against COVID-19.
