KIU, Western Campus – The Higher Education Students Financing Board (HESFB) has extended the deadline for submitting applications to the Students Loan Scheme for the academic year 2020/2021 from July 31 to August 31.
Through a public notice released by the board, HESFB said it extended the deadline to cater for students who had not yet received their admission letters from tertiary institutions.
The notice, which was signed by the Executive Director of HESFB, Michael Wanyama, also said it wanted to cater for students who get late admissions so that they can also benefit from the scheme.
The Uganda Higher Education Students’ Financing Board (HESFB) is a fund that was set up by the Uganda government to provide financial aid in the form of tuition to Ugandan students who have qualified for higher education in recognized institutions of higher learning but are incapable of supporting themselves financially.
