COVID-19 Updates: Uganda Registers 18 More COVID-19 Cases

KIU, Main Campus c��?? The Ministry of Health has this morning announced 18 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total confirmed cases to 755.

Of the 18, five are truck drivers; 2 from Busia, 1 from Mirama Hills, 1 from Bunagana and 1 from Lira districts.�

The remaining 9 are contacts and alerts of previously confirmed COVID-19 cases. Of these, 5 are contacts from Kampala, 3 from Kyotera and 1 from Nebbi districts.�

According to a press statement released by the ministry, all the contacts to previously confirmed cases were under quarantine by the time of testing.��

Additionally, 27 foreign truck drivers who tested positive for COVID-19 were returned to their respective countries of origin.�

Uganda's COVID-19 recoveries now stand at 492 with no death.
