Four KIU Students Named to Uganda's Squad for 2026 Woodball World Cup

The number of Ugandacâ¬âcs cumulative COVID-19 cases has surpassed the 4,000 mark after 201 new cases were registered from the 1,989 samples tested on September 8, according to the Ministry of Health daily COVID-19 update.
For the first time in almost a week, no new COVID-19 death was recorded but the number of community transmissions continued on their upward rise, with 198 cases of the total of 201 câ¬â about 98.5%- being alerts and contacts to previously confirmed cases.
Kitgum registered a record 80 cases while Kampala, the countrycâ¬âcs epicentre registered 38 cases. 23 cases are from Moroto, 10 from Gulu, 8 from Amuru, 6 from Lira, 6 from Wakiso, 4 from Kikuube, 4 from Zombo, 3 from Gulu, 2 each from Amolatar, Buikwe, Lamwo and Butebo while Adjumani, Arua, Kasese, Koboko, Luweero, Mukono, Butaleja and Nakaseke districts registered one case each.
The other 3 cases are 2 truck drivers who came through Elegu border point of entry along the Uganda-South Sudan border and a returnee from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Uganda still has 46 deaths and 1,876 recoveries so far.
