COVID-19 Updates: Uganda's COVID-19 Cases Clock 741

KIU, Main Campus - The Ministry of Health has this morning announced that Uganda has confirmed nine(9) new COVID-19 cases. 

In a press statement it released this morning, the ministry said four of the confirmed cases are truck drivers, two of whom arrived via Malaba Point of Entry from Kenya while two arrived from South Sudan via Elegu and Ngomoromo Points of Entry respectively. 

Five of the cases are alerts and contacts to previously confirmed cases. Three of these are from Kyotera and two are from Amuru districts. 

All nine cases are Ugandans. 

A total of 31 foreign truck drivers(24 Kenyans, 6 Tanzanian, 1 Burundian) tested positive for COVID-19 and were handed over to their respective countries. 

Uganda as of today has 442 registered recoveries and no COVID-19 related death.
