COVID-19 Updates: Ugands's Coronavirus Cases Soar up to 122

KIU, Main Campus - The Ministry of Health has announced one more new case of COVID-19, confirmed from 2,296 samples of truck drivers taken on Monday, 11th May. This brings the total number of cases in the country to 122.

The new case is a Ugandan truck driver who arrived through Elegu, at the international border with Sudan.

Out of the 2,854 total tested samples, 558 were from the community which all tested negative for the virus.

"Today,11 May 2020, 1 new COVID-19 case confirmed from 2,296 samples of truck drivers. This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases to 122 in Uganda. The new case is a Ugandan truck driver who arrived from Juba via Elegu. All 558 community samples tested negative for COVID-19," tweeted the Ministry of Health.
