Kampala International University (KIU) marked a significant milestone in its 25th anniversary year by hosting a high-level strategic planning consultative meeting on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Main Campus.

The hybrid meeting convened senior administrators from both the Main and Western Campuses to re-evaluate the university’s mission, strengths, challenges, and future direction.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Muhammed Ngoma opened the session by urging participants to reflect on KIU’s current standing and its aspirations for the future.
“If we want KIU to become the top university, what do we do to get there—and how do we get there?” he said.

“A well-structured strategy is paramount, supported by the right staff, shared values, and a winning attitude. We must aim for the moon, so that even if we fall, we land among the stars,” Prof. Ngoma added.
