The Inter-Cultural Competition which entails many activities ranging from singing folk songs, food display, and singing Kampala International University (KIU) anthem among others, has commenced with a very serious training through different students’ association.

KIU always has two serious activities yearly which include the sports gala and the cultural gala. However, the cultural gala seems to be the biggest since almost all students’ associations participate in this activity including international students’ associations.

Albert Issebayanda, the KIU Cultural Minister, promised the University students that they will, “hire fair adjudicators that will not segregate to any particular section of tribes.”

One of KIU’s security officers said they are ready to deploy security heavily during the competition and warned students planning to cause any kind of commotion, to be careful and that this time they will not tolerate any kind of hooliganism instead serious actions will be taken to those who will misbehave.
