KIU, Main Campus- On Wednesday, March 27th, 2024, the KIU Forum for Ideas (FFI) undertook a comprehensive cleaning of the entire KIU Main Campus, expressing gratitude for the exceptional efforts of our dedicated cleaners. They said this community outreach aimed at putting a smile on the faces of the individuals who keep KIU clean.

Sharif Ntume the Principal Coordinator of the KIU Forum said they wanted to feel what cleaners go through on a daily basis as a sign of appreciation.

"We acknowledge the great work these people do for our University and as a forum, we wanted to give back to our community as we celebrate 10 years of existence," he explained.

"We had to do what they do to show them that they are valued but also to prove to those who belittle the cleaners, how important these people are to Our great University," Ntume added.

Mustafa Byaruhanga, the supervisor of the KIU Sanitation department said that the cleaners were greatly elated by the charitable heart of the Forum for Ideas.

"We are very happy to know that our efforts are appreciated. All the cleaners are grateful for what FFI has done, we are very happy and excited to see the students give us a helping hand," he noted.

Apart from cleaning, the Forum also donated food items like sugar, rice and posho to all the cleaners and some selected students living in the University's Main Hostels.
