KIU International Desk: South Sudan's President Awarded a Global Peace Award

KIU, Main Campus - President Salva Kiir Mayardit of the Republic of South Sudan has received a Peace Medal for the year 2020 from Global Peace Without Borders Organization for his tireless efforts to bring peace to the people of South Sudan and Sudan. 

The Peace Medal was presented to President Salva Kiir Mayardit by Dr. Muhammad el-Arab from Global Peace Without Borders Organization which is sponsored by Gulf Countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. 

The Awards Committee from the Gulf Countries unanimously agreed that President Salva Kiir Mayardit is a man of Peace for the year 2020 due to his tremendous efforts to bring peace and stability in South Sudan. 

Global Peace Without Borders Organization commended President Salva Kiir Mayardit for the vital role that he has continued to play to negotiate peace and reconciliation for the countries in the region. 

The organization believes that President Salva Kiir Mayardit's efforts in South Sudan and Sudan Region deserves the world’s appreciation and encouragement. 

Dr. Muhammad el-Arab said the gulf countries want to strengthen their bilateral relations with South Sudan which will lead to the establishment of Bahrain Embassy in Juba.
