KIU, Main Campus – The Kampala International University Mass Communication Students Association has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kitara Nation, a publishing house based in Entebbe.

The MoU, which was signed on Friday, March 14, is meant to boost the promotion of a high-class writing and reading culture and the two parties agreed to work together for this cause.

According to Nkwenkam Momekam Tite, the president of KIU Mass Communication Students Association, they chose Kitara because of their exquisite performance in the promotion of reading and writing in Uganda in the last four years.

‘’We chose Kitara Nation simply because of their track record in promoting writing and reading in Uganda. We also hope this collaboration will help students of Mass communication to boost their writing skills,’’ Tite said.

He added that it is the beginning of greater things for KIU and the department of Journalism and Mass Communication and that this mutual benefit will take the association to another level.
