KIU Teaching Hospital Hosting Medical Camp

KIU, Western Campus – KIU Teqaching Hospital is hosting a medical camp, which started today March 21 and will end on Thursday March 23.

The camp will be offering all health services for free including free consultation services, free laboratory tests and free medication for all conditions and all minor surgeries are also free.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the hospital Isma Bagaga, the hospital administration is doing this as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

“We are prepared enough to hold any number of patients that might come, though our initial target is to offer services to around 1,500 people in three days.

He says the hospital is also doing health education for mostly personal hygiene, HIV, nutrition and circumcision and all admissions for patients who require in-patient care will be free for the 3 days.

Doctors and the lab teams are all on ground and are working on all the patients that are coming in, after which they are received and sent to the respective departments responsible for treating their conditions.

KIU Teaching hospital has built a reputation for holding medical camps both at the hospital premises and in communities, with thousands of people benefitting from their services.
