KIU, Western Campus – The KIU Western Campus Guild Union and the office of the Dean of Students Affairs (DSA) have completed the orientation of first-year beginning students today Friday, November 27.

The exercise, which started with the registration of the new students on Monday, has ended with the briefing of the students on how to register for the different university services.

According to the Guild President KIU Western Campus, John Natumanya (in the picture), the exercise commenced with the orientation of students from the Schools of Science and Technology and School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS) on Tuesday.

On Wednesday students from the Faculty of Education and the School of Business and management were oriented.

On Thursday, it was students from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).

Natumanya said the exercise was “highly successful” because students were able to grasp most of the things they were oriented about.

“The exercise was highly successful because they understood most of what we trained them about because even today, the registration exercise for library services was fully embraced by the new students,” he said.
