The Directorate of Higher Degrees and Research, DHDR is pleased to announce, the first of its kind, a KIU Postgraduate Symposium scheduled on 27th March 2020 at the Main campus. This is part of DHDR’s capacity building support towards improving postgraduate students’ skills in research proposal, report writing,  oral academic presentations, and gain conference experience.

Postgraduate students across all disciplines are invited to submit full papers, including abstracts, for scholarly presentations at the symposium according to the nature and scope of their areas of interest. Submissions could be as simple as Topic/Concept papers for students starting or seeking to start their postgraduate research journey or as advanced as completed dissertations and manuscripts for publication.

Papers should be submitted via email to [email protected]  by 12th March, 2020. Submissions should indicate:

  1. Student name, registration number, department, and campus;
  2. Title of the paper
  3. Type of presentation [e.g. topic/concept presentation, proposal presentation, or manuscript presentation].

To facilitate refreshments and organization of the symposium, each student is requested to contribute UGX 50,000 to Mr. Nicholas Taremwa [DHDR-Western Campus Tel. 0702974355/0777833577] or to Mr. Benson Tukundane [DHDR-Main Campus Tel. 0702225195/0774393791]. All contributions should be received by 12th March, 2020.

Registered attendees will receive certificate of participation and best presentations will receive awards.

See you all at the Symposium!

Thank you
