KIU Holds Orientation for August Intake Postgraduate Students

KIU, Main Campus - The Rotaract club of KIU joined the Rotary Club of Muyenga and several other clubs for a tree-planting project, dubbed “Mission Green” in Mpigi district on Saturday 27th September 2021, aimed at protecting and conserving the environment.
Led by past president Evelyn Lumonya, the five members of the Rotaract club of KIU participated in the planting of seedlings alongside Rotarians and other Rotaractors from several clubs.
"It was so wonderful to save Mother Nature; Great experience," Lumonya disclosed.
Esther Nambasa who is the club secretary said that it was breathtaking and refreshing for Rotaractors to actively participate in the conservation of nature.
"It was refreshing and breathtaking given the fact that we were able to participate in the conservation of nature as well as serve our dear country," she remarked.
Mission Green project is an annual program organized by the Rotary Club in order to contribute towards the conservation of nature and inspire people to follow suit. It is open to all Rotarians and Rotaractors.
