Shine Leadership International (SLINT) on Wednesday, 22nd January 2020 conducted its second training session at Kampala International University (KIU) under the Theme: "21st Century Skills that every Student Needs for the Changing Job Market"

The first session, a Leadership and Entrepreneurship Summit for university student leaders across the country was held at KIU on Wednesday 13th November 2019. It brought together students’ representatives and/or leaders from five universities namely: Kampala International University, Nkumba University, Cavendish University, Kampala University, and the International University of East Africa

This second session was held to explore and interest students in developing and strengthening a philosophy of proactive career development. It was also meant to list and discuss skills for the 21st Century workplace.

Alex Kabiswa of Shine Leadership International encouraged the students of KIU to endeavor to distinguish themselves so as to make it in the job market.

"One should be able to market themselves first before they can market any other organization," he said.

SLINT runs under the philosophy that the youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. They carry out training sessions like this in different schools and universities so as to nurture and equip students with skills that they need to be transformational in their communities and employable in the marketplace.
