UNIOSUN VC to Speak at KIU International Research and Innovations Webinar

The Vice-Chancellor, Osun State University, Prof. Labode Popoola will on Wednesday 23rd September 2020, speak at the Kampala International University International Research and Innovations Webinar. 

The event titled Research and Innovation in the Post-pandemic Era features other prominent speakers from the academia and civil society including the Founder, PLO Lumumba Foundations, Kenya, Prof. Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic Affairs of the prestigious Makarere University, Prof. Umar Kakumba, Technical Coordinator, VODAN Africa, and Researcher Leiden University Institute for Advanced Computer Science, Ms. Mariam Basajja, and the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Research, Innovations, Consultancy and Extension, KIU, Assoc. Prof. Chukwemeka Diji.

The Vice-Chancellor, KIU, Dr. Mouhammed Mpezamihigo is expected to give the opening keynote address, and the DVC Academic Affairs, Prof. Tayo Arulogun, DVC Finance and Administration, Assoc. Prof. Janice Busingye, DVC Western Campus, Prof. Patrick Kyamanywa, KIU Director of Research, Innovations, and International Relations, Prof. Francisca Oladipo are all expected to give their remarks during the webinar series.

Kampala International University is the topmost Private University in Uganda and the East Africa region. The webinar is part of a series of activities planned towards the sustainability of the research and innovations cultures of the university as is led by the Directorate of Research, Innovations, Consultancy, and Extension (KIU-RICE).

The event will be moderated by Dr. Wardah Rajab-Gyanjenda, KIU, Director Higher Degrees and Research, Prof. Tijani Ahmad, KIU Deputy Director RICE (Western Campus), and Dr. Julius Matsiko, KIU Deputy Director RICE (Main Campus). 

The webinar is scheduled to start at 11 am East African Time on both days.
