Objectives of the Programme
Program Aim
This program is intended to develop skills and competencies needed to function as effective counselors and development specialists in counseling settings.
Program Objectives
The programme intends to;
- Empower students to assist clients lead better, more rewarding and productive lives and enhance their appreciation of the ethical and legal standards of guidance and counseling.
- Empower the learners in how to conduct counseling research and to use research to inform counseling practice.
- Expose to learners the group work approaches that include a theoretical framework, group counseling methods and dynamics and intervention skills.
- Equip learners with knowledge of individual and group approaches to testing, assessment and evaluation that adhere to ethical codes and standards.
