PhD in Counseling Psychology

About the Programme

The PhD Programme in Counseling Psychology shall be delivered in face-to-face mode; however there shall also be internships in the designated sites as approved by the University Senate, these internships will be supervised by experts from the Department of Applied Counselling Psychology. 

  • A minimum of 115 credit units are required for graduation with a PhD Counselling Psychology Degree, OR and a minimum GPA of 3.00.     
  • The Ph.D. Counselling psychology shall extend for a minimum of thirty-six (36) months and a maximum of sixty  (60) months for face-to-face/full-time students and seventy-two (72) months for part-time/ distance learning students.
  • The candidates applying for this Programme shall be required to choose one of the following modes of study: Full-time (FT), Part-time (Weekend/evenings), and institution-based.
