Staying Well Together: KIU Psychiatrist to Appear on Citizen Webinar Panel on “Anxiety and Mental Health During COVID-19”

KIU, Western Campus – KIU Teaching Hospital psychiatry Head of Department, Dr Benedict Akimana will tomorrow, May 30 appear as a panellist on a Government Citizen Interaction Centre webinar to discuss anxiety and mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The theme of the webinar is, “Coping With Anxiety and Mental Health During a Pandemic”

Dr Akimana, also a mental health advocate, is currently running a series of mental health awareness videos on YouTube to celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month, which is May.

The citizen webinar is being conducted in conjunction with the Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Uganda, Ministry of Health and UBC TV.

It will be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube and is scheduled to start at 4:00 PM and end at 5:30 PM
