Bachelor of Science in Physics
Admission Requirements
Admission to the
Bachelor of Science in Physic (BScP) program shall be done in accordance with
Kampala International University procedures and regulations in line with the
minimum requirements by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE). In
addition, a person qualifies for admission provided he/she satisfies minimum
requirements of:
(a)
At least two (2) Principal Passes in Physics and
Mathematics obtained at the same sitting of the Uganda Advanced Certificate
Examinations (UACE) or its equivalent.
For purposes of
computing entry points, the advanced level subjects shall carry the following
weights:
(i) Essential: Physics and Mathematics,
(ii) Relevant: Chemistry, Economics, Technical Drawing
(iii) Desirable: General Paper and Computer Studies.
(b)
At least a credit or second class lower or a Diploma
in Physics or any other qualification in the field of physics from a recognized
Institution
(c)
A degree in science disciplines that includes
physics from a recognized institution
(d)
At least a credit or second class lower in other
Diplomas or Certificates approved by the University to be equivalent to any of
those stated in parts (a) to (d) above.
(e)
Having passed the mature age entry examination with
50% and above administered by the authorised institutions.
